Multimatic Technical Centre Europe, Thetford, Norfolk, United Kingdom Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) provides engineering and product development services to race teams and OEM's around the world.
It is Multimatic's Centre of Excellence for the ongoing design, development, and implementation of DSSV Damping Technology, and has established a strong relationship with key international Motorsports organizations.
MTCE is also a leading contract engineering and vehicle development resource to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers.
The role of the Program/Project Manager is to work with the departments located at our facility to support the design and development of the product from initial concept to production release and ensure the product is delivered on time, on budget, and satisfies the manufacturing requirements.

MTCE, Unit 1, Wyatt Way, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 1HJ England Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Develop, lead and deliver project plans for new proposals and existing projects through liaison with cross-functional department leadersOversee resource planning, ensure resources are available to support project activities, liaise with functional areas to ensure replacements are provided if necessary.
Risk planning and management throughout project – play a key role in anticipating, escalating and mitigating potential riskManage project timing within overall program plan; track progress changes and develop recovery plans when necessaryTrack and control project spend within allocated budget using forecasting toolsEnsure quality of deliverables, manage achievement of project deliverables at program milestones, and facilitate customer sign-off at gateway stagesCollate and deliver progress status reportsAct as the external customer liaison and reporting for stand-alone projectsBe involved in DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, product drawings, identification of key characteristics, and design review processes including gates, milestones, etc.
Consult on and resolve quality issues as they ariseInterface/interact with internal stakeholders (testing, design, analysis, prototype, etc.) to ensure project deliverables are on track and progressing in a timely mannerMaintain open communication with various interacting departments including other divisions of Multimatic, as necessaryReport on program status and identifying critical issuesAct as primary point of communication interface with the customer for the respective programDevelop resource plans to support new projects to enable flawless/successful product development Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Education and Experience:Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePMP designation is an assetMinimum 5+ years of auto industry experience with 3+ years of program/project management experienceExperience in managing a program from initial design to production release would be idealExperience with the development of mechatronic systems is an assetMust be able to read and fully interpret Engineering Drawings and Standards (applicable GD&T knowledge preferred)High level of organisational skills required.
Able to effectively organise and manage competing priorities; utilise effective problem-solving techniquesStrong cross-functional team leadership with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated sound decision making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with outside customers, suppliers, and all levels of employees internallyIntermediate to advanced computer skills specifically in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.); some experience with CAD software preferred
