The Role


We are currently recruiting a highly motivated Personal Assistant to work directly with the CEO and the other Personal Assistant to the CEO.

What does this job involve?

The key responsibilities of the post holders will be:

  • Providing day-to-day assistance to the CEO, including complex diary management with internal and external parties
  • Co-ordinating attendance for the CEO for speaking engagements, external meetings and conferences including travel, accommodation and expenses
  • Working with the other Personal Assistant in managing the CEO's inbox, triaging and allocating correspondence and actions to appropriate teams
  • Working with the CEO to ensure they are prepared for meetings. This includes making sure they receive papers in a timely manner and have sufficient time to review materials
  • Working closely with Board and Executive Secretariat teams, as well as the Executive Correspondence Unit
  • Working in partnership with the Private Secretaries, Head of Chief Executive Office and Chief of Staff to ensure the effective administrative management of the CEO's office
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with other Personal Assistants across the wider organisation to ensure effective communications between private offices
Skills/Experience Required

Minimum

  • Proven experience managing the diary and inbox of a Director / Head of Department or similar
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Essential- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work in a structured way to a high standard against tight deadlines, and with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail- Ability to be flexible and react to changing circumstances, reprioritising as necessary- Ability to work under pressure, resilient and calm.

Comfortable with ambiguity- Ability to work effectively as a team player but flexible enough to be proactive and work on own initiative with limited guidance- Ability to handle sensitive data with a high degree of discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times- Ability to build good working relationships and networks across the FCA and with external stakeholders- Willingness to learn and self-develop- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Desirable- Knowledge of the FCA, including the work we do, our structure and goals, our regulatory remit and purpose

The FCA supports hybrid working and you will be required to work 40% of your time over a month, in our office.

The FCA has a national role and is committed to a national footprint. This role can be based in London, Leeds or Edinburgh. The FCA has London and National Pay ranges to reflect regional differences.

The base salary range for this role is up to £41,000 per annum in London and £38,000 per annum in Leeds and Edinburgh, plus an additional flexible allowance.
