    Job DescriptionCompany DescriptionRoperhurst Limited is a UK market leader in safety-critical plastic engineering, with over 45 years of experience.

    The company focuses on the storage, conveyance, processing, and safe discharge of hazardous liquids and fumes, and offers a range of industrial plastic ductwork, fume scrubbers, chemical storage tanks, plastic pipework and associated products.

    Customer assurance comes from Roperhurst's ISO9001 certification, SSIP accreditation via Safecontractor, PAS91 compliance via Constructionline Gold, and BESA membership (including BESCA quality auditing).Role DescriptionReporting to a Group Director, this is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager located in Barry, South Wales.

    The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and managing all departments within the company, including production and site operations, sales, finance, and human resources.

    The General Manager will also liaise with their counterparts in other group companies to ensure that strategic goals are achieved and best practice shared.

    It is essential that the successful candidate be fully aligned with the company's values.

    QualificationsStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience in managing all aspects of a business, including production, sales, finance, and human resourcesExperience in implementing and maintaining fully compliant business systems, including ISO9001, 14001 and 45001Experience in the engineering or manufacturing industryExperience in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliersStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience in the plastics industry is not essential but would be an advantage.
