    The London office is strategically placed to assist Queensland exporters and investors to take advantage of key sector opportunities in technology, innovation, education, mining and resources, construction, and food and agriculture in the United Kingdom (UK).

    YOUR OPPORTUNITY

    Reporting to the Agent-General for Queensland to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, and Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – Europe and the Middle East, you will provide financial and administration assistance and broad support to internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the TIQ London office.

    Your contribution (key responsibilities and accountabilities)

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Co-ordinate financial responsibilities for TIQ Europe including input of creditors invoices into SAP Concur, onboarding new vendors and liaison with Corporate Services (Brisbane) to ensure payment process steps are completed
    • Assist the Office Manager with the reconciliation of management accounts and variance reporting to Corporate Services (Brisbane)
    • Liaise with International Payroll (Brisbane) to ensure accurate processing and completion of monthly salaries for TIQ and Tourism and Events Queensland employees through local payroll service provider for including processing of London employee pension payments
    • Accurate completion of manual cashbook for reporting to Corporate Services, ensure compliance with reconciliation of employee business travel, assist with monthly Management account analysis and ongoing budget forecasts for TIQ Europe
    • As required, help with co-ordination of operations of the Business Centre, Queensland House including, the online booking management system, up-keep of the centre and provisions, and liaising with facilities management and service providers to operate the centre
    • Assist with Apollo (Salesforce) electronic client records and the administration and management of the Agent-General's contacts and events database.
    • Monitor bank account and manage petty cash for TIQ Europe, including annual reconciliation for audit, keep well-informed of Corporate Financial Management Procedures and systems to ensure compliance with TIQ policies
    • Assist with upkeep of Asset Register, monitoring contracts (communications, internet, office stationery) and with accommodation matters related to office building/Agent-General's residence

    This role may require additional duties to be completed as directed

    Strong skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, TEAMS) and Salesforce

    Experience working for government or an international business would be well regarded

    ELIGIBILITY

    To be eligible for consideration and appointment, you must have:

    1. Work Authorisation – to be eligible for employment within TIQ, you must be legally authorised to live and work in the United Kingdom. Your resume should indicate if you are a UK citizen or visa (type) holder.
    2. Language High level written and spoken English language is essential for success in this role.
    3. Security Clearance – the successful candidate must be willing to undertake a screening check and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources prior to commencing in the role.

    • Two-year fixed term, full-time employment
    • Salary GBP39,853 gross per annum (full-time) and employer contribution 9.5% of base salary per employee per annum to pension plan
