Exciting opportunity for a leading Energy Trading company are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their Biogas and Power team.

The position has opened up as the team's work load is growing and the current team member is taking on more responsibilitieswithin operations and logistics.

The environment is fast-paced front office trading and you can pick up skills such as coding through the work that you do for the company.

Every day is different is the right environment for someone who is motivated to work hard and be rewarded for it with an increase in responsibilities and potential bonuses.

The environment is less hierarchy based than a traditional oil and gas, you will getthe opportunity to work closely with Traders and senior colleagues.

The company are willing for someone to carve out their own role to a degree and everyone is very open in terms of learning and teaching new team members.

The current CA roles open are:

Gasoline
Processing
Distillates
LNG
Nat Gas
Carbon/biogas
Crude

Responsibilities:

Mornings are typically dedicated to PnL checks, afternoons are usually consisted of adhoc requests from traders such as market analysis or reports
The role includes lots of running excel spreadsheets to then present to the Traders
A lot of PnL analysis, speaking to accountants day to day, close out the month PnLs;

- working out budgets

The company uses a bespoke system that holds all the trades

Skills and Requirements:

Ideally 2 years' experience within a similar Commercial Analyst role within Energy Trading
Excel skills are a must have, ideally VBA skills but beginner is okay if you are willing to improve
Python skills are a plus but not a must have they have a team dedicated to python modelling
