    Description

    Senior Fire Engineer – Manchester

    Vertical Recruitment are working with one of the industry's most sort-after Fire Engineering Consultancies, with an immediate need for a Senior Fire Engineer in Manchester. The company specialise in providing innovative solutions for complex fire safety challenges and are looking for Senior Fire Engineers to join a team and help deliver high-quality fire engineering services to clients. This excellent opportunity is due to sustained growth within the business and delivers a clear roadmap for career progression.

    Candidates must have the following experience:

    • 4 years of relevant experience within Fire Engineering.
    • Qualified.
    • full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, (CEng, MIFireE) would be desirable.
    • expertise in delivering fire safety engineering solutions in a multi-disciplinary environment with solid experience in developing fire strategies, undertaking engineering analysis and applying performance-based designs
    • with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
    • leadership, planning and practical solution skills.

    Your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

    • familiar with RIBA stages of design or other design frameworks (e.g. GRIP) and understand the total fire concept: from the client brief through to construction and operation, the fire engineering challenges relevant to different design stages and the level/type of fire engineering input required to progress the design and contribute to completion.
    • fire safety assessments and develop fire safety strategies for a variety of building types and occupancies.
    • fire safety engineering calculations and modelling using relevant software.
    • with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice on fire safety and fire engineering matters.
    • and train junior fire engineers within the team.
    • report-writing skills.
    • up to date with relevant fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
