Trial Balance Consulting is assisting a rapidly growing company located close to St. Agnes in the search for an Interim Assistant Accountant. This temporary position is available immediately to support the team during a busy period and is expected to last until August 2024. The role will be based at the company's headquarters.

This is a diverse role where the successful candidate will be responsible for various financial tasks and work closely with the Finance Team reporting to the Financial Controller.

• Produce detailed management accounts
• Assist in preparing year-end statutory accounts and financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct financial analysis
• Oversee aged debtor function
• Handle VAT reporting
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Act as a primary contact for major customer and supplier queries
• Maintain fixed assets
• Process journal entries
• Support payroll processing (experience preferred)
• Engage in project accounting and assist directors on ad hoc tasks

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant with a strong background in end-to-end accounting within a dynamic SME. Ideally, candidates should be AAT qualified or part-qualified, but relevant practical experience will be considered equally. The company fosters a modern work environment leveraging current technology; hence, proficiency in MS Excel and digital accounting platforms is essential. Communication skills are crucial as the successful candidate will interact with various departments.
