    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
    Our client is a well-established, state-of-the-art accident repair centre providing crucial repair and maintenance services and comprehensive accident management solutions.
    Due to the company's growth, they require an experienced Bodyshop MET Technician to join their exciting and fast paced team who has previous experience in a similar role.
    Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technicians identify damaged mechanical and electrical components in vehicles.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assessing the extent of damage to mechanical and electrical components
    • Stripping and refitting vehicle parts that have accident damage
    • Repairing or replacing damaged panels and components to a required standard
    • Using diagnostic equipment to diagnose and fix electrical faults
    • Fixing mechanical damage such as engine, suspension or steering
    • Using a computerized machine to align wheels
    • Ordering necessary parts from the parts department
    • Working from a job card detailing work to be done
    • Preparing an invoice for work done and passing it to the accounts department
    • Complete all work assigned in a timely manner and to company standards.
    • To advise if additional work is required and seek assistance and approval.
    • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels remaining professional and courteous at all times.
    • Ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to when operating machinery or equipment.
    • To maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
    • Contribute to team objectives and overall company goals.
    • Any other duties are carried out as required.

    SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES
    • Panel Alignment (Gaps to doors and panels etc)
    • Mechanical, Electrical and Trim work (M.E.T)
    • Panel, MET/Strip & Fit
    • Using up-to-date repair equipment and body repair methods.
    • Good understanding of Bodyshop procedures
    • Good time keeping and experience essential
    • Air-con and wheel alignment experience
    • Eligible to work in the UK and a valid driving License is essential for this position (company will assist with this, as long as you have a valid South African passport and drivers license).
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Applicants should preferably be a qualified MET (Mechanical, Electrical and Trim) Technician or at the very least have some qualification related to the vacancy and good experience as a MET Technician.
    PACKAGE:
    • SALARY: £33,462 + BONUS
    • Hours Monday to Thursday pm, Friday pm
    • 22 days holidays plus bank holidays
