    Description

    Occupational Therapists – Ireland Nationwide

    Ireland's national public health and social care provider, the Health Service Executive (HSE) are currently recruiting for Staff Grade and Senior Grade Occupational Therapists for a number of permanent positions within the primary, acute and children's disability services on a nationwide basis across Ireland.

    The HSE is supported in this recruitment initiative by Cpl Healthcare.

    Primary Care Services

    Working as part of a primary care team, the Occupational Therapist will promote independence and enable service users to re-engage with the activities that they need or want to do in their everyday life.

    Acute Services

    The Occupational Therapist within an acute setting works closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and discharge planning for the patient.

    The Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) provides specialist support and services for children who have a disability and complex needs.

    The HSE offers a wide range of career opportunities, with many benefits, for Occupational Therapists wishing to make a contribution to the health and lives of everyone living in Ireland.

    As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be required to assist in service development as well as supervise and train junior staff.

    Benefits include:


    •Permanent employment contract including sponsorship of a critical skills employment permit


    •Competitive salary between €41,075 - €70,033 depending on experience


    •35 hour working week


    •Excellent relocation and onboarding package to the value of €4,700 towards flights and accommodation for non-EU applicants and €4,100 for EU applicants


    •Assistance with registration with CORU, the Health & Social Care Professionals regulatory authority and reimbursement of fees to the value of €510


    •Induction and orientation program on arrival


    •Generous annual leave (29 / 30 days) and public holiday (10 days) entitlements per year


    •Excellent supervision and a focus on developing Occupational Therapist strengths as well as continuous Training and Development sessions with a dedicated and individualised training plan


    •Further career progression opportunities within the service

    Candidates interested in the role must have:


    •A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist


    •Eligible to apply for registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU ( Apply ), the Health & Social Care Professionals regulatory authority in Ireland


    •For Senior Grade positions - A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist including a significant amount of experience working within a community and/or acute setting

    Other requirements specific to the post


    •Police clearance from any country lived or worked in for 6 months or more


    •Excellent assessment and intervention skills


    •Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team


    •Flexibility in work practice


    •Excellent verbal and written English


    •Have access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
