Salary:
£11.79 per hour

The Role


If you're reliable and hardworking, you could be just the person we're looking for to play a key role in running our Gloucester branch.


Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical contractor in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes and exceeding turnover of £60m in a typical year.

Headquartered in Gloucester and established for over 40 years, we work for all the leading housebuilders, operating nationwide.

Our Warehouse team plays a key role in the smooth running of the business by ensuring that our Electricians have all the kit they need to complete their work for the day.


You will be part of a close team of Warehouse Operatives, interacting with different sections of the department to help complete daily tasks - good team spirit ensures this is done efficiently.

On the job training is provided by a member of the team to ensure our processes are clear and you are aware of the high level of accuracy needed.

Opportunities to progress onto more senior roles are possible should circumstances be right.


We are looking for someone with a flexible approach but typically, you will work 9 hours per day; 5.30am to 3.30pm / 7am to 5pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities
This is a varied role, with your main responsibilities being:

  • Picking all materials ordered from set pick lists (produced by site-based teams)
  • Identifying and reporting discrepancies
  • Monitoring and maintaining minimum stock levels
  • Processing faulty items ready to be returned to suppliers
  • Restocking shelves ready for the next day
  • Receiving deliveries
  • Carrying out additional tasks to support the business as required.

Requirements:
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Must be able to commit to very early starts
  • Excellent accuracy, even when under pressure
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Selfmotivated with a flexible approach to working
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Organised
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
