The Company
Nigel Wright is working with a fast paced and fast-growing SaaS company offering an all-in-one platform for expense management. Looking for a full-time Business Development Manager to join the Sales and Marketing department.


The Role:


  • Taking a brand new high growth SaaS product to market
  • Identify New Business opportunities via a mix of qualified Marketing Leads and proactive cold calling to predefined data as supplied by the marketing team.
  • Initiate contact with potential new clients, build strong relationships and understand their business requirements in order to sell the new SaaS solution.
  • Create and drive new business through understanding and influencing prospects' needs, tailored sales pitches, presentations and value propositions.
  • Close net new business opportunities through a mix of Teams Meetings, F2F Meetings, Webinars and Event Attendance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth implementation process.
  • Use the CRM as a required reporting tool to update all activity on prospects/clients.
  • Build a successful Social Media presence to engage with prospects
  • Actively participate in UK and overseas events
  • Provide support to Marketing to deliver the Webinar programme
  • Report as required to the Chief Sales Officer, to provide updates on activity.
  • Drives KPIs through goal setting, maintaining high standards and meeting key deadlines.

Person Specification:


  • 2 years of experience selling a SaaS solution

  • Strong skills as an influencer, communicator, relationship builder and networker
  • Action oriented with the ability to take the initiative, spotting and seizing on opportunities
  • Follows through on commitments showing consistency between words and actions

  • Demonstrates resilience, maintaining a positive attitude whilst navigating difficult obstacles.
  • Ability to work remotely with exceptional time management & organisational skills
  • The ability to analyse data into meaningful actions/outcomes and opportunities
  • Takes action to keep product knowledge and skills up to date
  • An interest in emerging technologies and products

Benefits Package:


  • Competitive basic salary of £40k£45k with OTE of £80K Uncapped commission
