Location: Pocklington, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS3; £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Start Date: September 2024

Teacher of Business Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Stay updated on changes in the field of business and incorporate relevant industry examples and case studies into teaching

Teacher of Business Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Business Studies or a related field.
• Be committed to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
• PGCE with QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting. This may be gained through teaching placements during teacher training or through prior teaching roles.
• In-depth knowledge of business studies concepts, theories, and current business practices.
• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
