Salary & Benefits:

An exciting opportunity to lead the Data pillar within Enterprise Risk Platform (ERP), Data and Prudential & Analytics (P&A) Labs.

What will you focus on in this role?


You'll be the data lead for our area, with an initial focus upon developing analytical ready data and infrastructure for the credit risk models, and other Risk programmes.

This is critical to meet ongoing regulatory and business requirements.

Examples of activities might include some, but not all, of the following:

You'll expand the data infrastructure and capabilities in P&A aligned to ERP data strategy to ensure we have enduring, repeatable and strategic approach to analytical data.

This is to support ongoing development of data products and needs of the business.


Lead product feature teams to work with colleagues to identify dataset requirements and source the breadth and depth of data required.

You'll working with engineering colleagues to develop future infrastructure that will host data required for model build and execution. This is a great opportunity to enable a significant uplift in Risk analytics.


We're a divisional function, so you'll also work collaboratively with the risk data teams and central data analytics office to implement data as a strategic asset.

Implementing data standards, governance and control principles and design.


You'll also champion & advocate use of new technology such as cloud and data virtualisation to support transition and target states.

This would be a great role if you want to help us mature our data capabilities within the Credit Risk domain

This is a senior role in a niche area, so as a minimum to be considered for shortlisting we need to see evidence of the following in your CV;- Career background within the field of Data working at senior manager or "head of" level.- Specifically, experience within Credit Risk Data Modelling is a strong preference for us, but we can consider those without.- Good leadership & people management skills.

You'll lead up to 90 staff (6-8 direct senior reports)- Experience supporting & delivering data strategy delivery- Analytical skills - an understanding of the importance of data quality, data lineage, data governance and good reporting standards.- In terms of personal qualities we're looking for people with good interpersonal skills and a strong delivery focus.
