Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding and impactful role in education? Look no further We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of or Birmingham primary schools as a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant.

As a Teaching Assistant your role will be crucial in providing one-on-one assistance to a specific pupil with special educational needs, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.


  • Position: 121 Teaching Assistant
  • School: An Ofsted Goodrated primary school in Birmingham
  • Friendly and Supportive Team Environment
  • Hours: Fulltime, termtime only

As a Teaching Assistant your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting a specific child on an individual basis, both within and outside the classroom
  • Implementing personalised learning plans and adapting your teaching methods to meet the unique needs of the student
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil to actively engage in their learning journey and get the most from each day
  • Regularly monitoring the pupils progress and providing valuable feedback to the class teacher and parents/guardians
  • Collaborating with the school's staff, including teachers, SENCOs, and fellow Teaching Assistants, to ensure cohesive support for the student
  • Supporting classroom management and fostering a positive and conducive learning environment
To excel as a Teaching Assistant in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant with primary school-aged children, particularly on a one-on-one basis
  • A genuine passion for education and a strong commitment to supporting every child's learning journey
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with students, parents/guardians, and fellow staff members
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to think on your feet within the dynamic environment of a school
  • A positive and nurturing approach, focused on boosting the student's confidence and selfesteem
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
