    Description

    We have a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our highly regarded, progressive and award-winning Civil & Structural team in Cardiff.

    We are seeking a skilled engineer with excellent experience, top-notch software skills, and the willingness to work in a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team focusing on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping construction in the UK and beyond.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborating as a member of a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy.
    • Operating across various projects.
    • Handling and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Undertaking scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and project coordination.
    • Contributing to or leading work winning, budgetary control of project finances, and preparing fee proposals.
    • Mentoring and supporting emerging team members to maintain the quality and accuracy of technical and non-technical deliverables.
    • Working in a design office while actively participating in design and site meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting.
    • Effective communication and liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory/statutory authorities.

    You will thrive in this role if you have:

    • BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC civil engineering qualifications with significant experience in a design office environment.
    • Working knowledge of Section 104, 278, and 38 adoption procedures.
    • Strong analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, and MicroDrainage.
    • Good understanding of technical software like Civil 3D, AutoTrack, and industry-standard software.
    • Experience collaborating with residential developers.
    • Knowledge of UK planning procedures and the ability to provide technical support for securing planning approval.
    • Capability to secure technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.
