Description

Our client, located on Ipswich docks, are looking for a Packing Operative.

As a Packing Operative, you'll ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for all employees and activities.

The role will involve:
Ensuring that the product is packed or loaded or unloaded according to the company and customer specifications.
Ensure work is carried out to the best of operative's abilities, and that its meets specification.
Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice.
Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work.
Carry out all procedures in a safe manner in accordance with training.
Comply with Health & Safety policy and procedures.
Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults in a timely manner.
Maintain personal PPE.
Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned.
General warehouse duties.

Skills Required:
Previous experience of working as an Export Packer Operative.
Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Forklift Licence & experience. (Desirable)
Good communication skills.
Manual handling.
Physically fit.
Enjoys hands on work.
Understands measurements, use of tools both handhold and power.
A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
A full driving license may be required, due to travel between sites.
Additional aspects may be included or varied depending on an applicant's skill set and experience.
