Vacancy ID We are currently recruiting for a casual Lodge Assistant to work on site at one of our centrally based colleges starting ASAP for approx 12 weeks working flexible
various shifts which are available at the week and the weekend (approx
8 hour shifts) between 7am
7pm, 7am
9pm, and between 7pm
9pm to 7am (night shift)**Duties
Cover the front desk, answer general queries and greet people visiting the College
Answer the telephone and forward any queries to the appropriate person.
Ensure excellent customer service is provided to anyone who visits the Lodge.
Receive any post and delivery packages.
Familiarise yourself on a regular basis on the College's health and safety and security policies and procedures.
Work as part of a busy team and be flexible and willing to help others in the team when required.
Report any incidents or health and safety matters to the Lodge Receptionist or Lodge Manager on duty
Wear any uniform provided (e.g. tie/cravat and name badge)
Attend training when required
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Work as part of a busy Lodge team
Person specification
Essential Criteria
Demonstratable experience of working in a similar role
Customer service/customer facing experience
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
A flexible attitude and the ability to work both as part of a team, with a willingness to help others in the College and to work independently, without supervision
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
TSS workers accrue holiday pay that is equivalent to 38 days per year, this means you accrue a whopping 17.1% in holiday pay for the hours that you work for us.
