    One year with a focus on developing and the contractual support and management relating to emerging Smokefree Generation interventions.

    It's an exciting time to be joining our Public Health team We have recently been awarded Government funding to expand our work as part of the Smokefree Generation programme, and are therefore looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team.

    Public Health Commissioning Officer

    Devon County Council are looking for a well organised and self-motivated person to join the Commissioning and Contracting Team within the Public Health Directorate to lead on the development and commissioning of a range of interventions linked to the Smokefree generation programme. Devon County Council have received additional funding as part of the Smokefree Generation programme to develop interventions that will tackle smoking rates across Devon and reduce the health inequalities associated with smoking.

    This role will be varied so will suit someone who is flexible, proactive and dynamic. They will have good communication and interpersonal skills. They will also possess excellent organisational and coordination skills. The post holder will undertake tasks across the full range of commissioning and contracting activities. This may include working with partners to increase smoking provision activity, reporting upon data returns from providers and the operational tasks linked to contracts and grants.

    We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, with experience of commissioning activity and managing of contracts and developing relationships with partners across the system.
