As a HGV Mechanic youll join a fun and warm team that takes pride in diagnostics & repair, servicing, maintaining and keeping our vehicles ready and running for the next morning.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, as well as experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
The successful candidate will be able to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems, perform routine maintenance, and repair vehicles in a timely manner.
The Mechanic will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.Main Responsibilities:
You need to have an engineering background with a vehicular focus bus, HGV / LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm if it moves, its good experience
You should ideally be qualified to the following level: PCV or HGV City & Guilds BTEC NVQ Level 3 Engineering in HGV or PSV
You need to want to deliver high standards of engineering maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 (Qualification or equivalent)
Sound mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
Experience of the London Transport environment or heavy Vehicles. (Car mechanics may be accepted with exceptions depending on qualifications)
Technically adept.
Able to pass a PCV pre employment medical
Great if you hold a full PCV licence but not a must.
