Description
LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with sales of EUR 7.The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.
Reporting into the Site Manager and working closely with the Manufacturing Management Team (MMT), the HSEQ Manager will be the lead contact for site, group and contractors to ensure compliance of all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and Quality systems for the Trafford Park and Deeside facilities.
Help set overall HSEQ strategy and establish suitable targets and objectives for the facility.Maintain and identify HSEQ training needs, highlighting areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by legislation, Approved Codes of Practice or HSE guidance.
Develop, maintain and implement the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and aligned to LXS corporate requirements and guidelines.
Ensure continued ISO certifications for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO Environmental) to the current scope and any future standards deemed necessary by the Company, for example, ISO Health & Safety) and Energy)and any other standards that become required.
Ensure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation.
Compliance with all license, consents and environmental permitting requirements, including any variations, renewals and modifications.Manage COMAH compliance and oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) programme.
Be the principal point of contact with the regulatory authorities (including the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Fire Service).
Experience in chemical manufacturing (COMAH facility) is essential.Knowledge of IMS – principles, implementation and auditing of ISO 14001 and 9001.
Fact-based analysis and decision-making.
Good basic working IT knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (minimum)..
