    To support our ambitious growth plans we have a great opportunity to join our Central Services teams here at SOCOTEC UK. With over 2000 UK employees our Central Services functions are key to ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Based in Burton Upon Trent, working across the specialisms in HR, Marketing, Finance and IT we pride ourselves of partnering and support our operational divisions to deliver a world class service to our customers.

    We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team within the HR Shared Services Centre. Reporting to the Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Administrator will play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This role involves assisting in day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely execution of payroll processes. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a willingness to learn.

  • Experience with payroll processes or systems is advantageous - preferably Civica HR & Payroll.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude to ensure accuracy in processing payroll data and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes in the payroll landscape while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
  • High levels of computer literacy particularly advanced Excel knowledge and skills
