- Leadmanage and mentor a team of Geography teachers providing guidanceand support for their professionaldevelopment
- Develop and implement acomprehensive and engaging geographycurriculum
- Monitor and evaluate the quality ofteaching and learning within thedepartment
- Build positive relationships withstaff students and parents to foster a supportive learningenvironment
- Manage department resources andbudget effectively
- Stay updated with the latestdevelopments in geographyeducation
- Adegree in Geography or a relatedfield
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) andpreferably a postgraduate qualification in education orleadership
- Proven experience as a Geographyteacher with a track record of delivering exceptionalresults
- Strong leadership and management skillswith the ability to inspire and motivate ateam
- Excellent knowledge of the geographycurriculum and assessmentrequirements
- Effective communication andinterpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuousprofessional development
- Experience in aleadership role in a school setting would beadvantageous
