    We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join the engineering team of a long-established business delivering projects and developing market leading solutions that benefit our extensive client base.

    This is an excellent opportunity to shape and influence the design of high value capital projects for our blue chip clients
    This is a permanent, full-time role.

    As a Junior Design Engineer , you will help support the design team with standard and bespoke equipment.

    You'll need to work closely with our engineering team to develop the mechanical design and detailed the equipment to the required standard.

    Understudy the senior engineers and learn to deliver standard and bespoke product designs
    Support the senior engineers in producing engineering and fabrication drawings for in house manufacture
    Produce flat-pattern designs and organise nesting programmes for the CNC laser
    Help drive design for manufacture and design assembly best practices
    Ensure product designs comply with applicable regulatory requirements
    Ensure components and assemblies meet quality standards
    Help bridge the communication of information coming into and leaving engineering
    An NQV in relevant field of engineering or fabrication
    A good working knowledge of 3D CAD (such as SolidWorks) 2D CAD (such as AutoCAD or Radan) or similar software, gained from your studies, a professional role or similar (such as a placement)
    Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications
    A creative approach and an innovative mindset, with the ability to come up with new ideas and improvements for existing processes, products or designs
    Knowledge of flat-pattern development and/or sheet metal & fabrication background.
