Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic occupational therapist to work as part of Bridgend south CMHT. The post is at band 6 and, the successful applicant will work as part of the multi disciplinary team. You will be care coordinator for a caseload of patients and work within the framework of the Mental Health Measures Wales providing specialist knowledge to a range of patients and providers.
Main duties of the job
As stated, you will be responsible for a caseload of patients with varying mental health diagnosis but requiring specific occupational therapy input. This will involve a comprehensive assessment of need, care planning and implementation of that care along with regular reviews in line with team and national standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of the wider MDT but also autonomously. The CMHT also have an OT tech able to implement intervention plans with support and guidance from the team OT.
The post holder will need to be a team player who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. You will need excellent clinical reasoning, time management, observation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in achieving well being and positive health outcomes for the population we serve.
