Occupational Therapist at a SEN School in Croydon

An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to join a SEN school in Croydon. The main focus of this role will involve assessment, diagnosis, and strategies to enhance educational outcomes at the school.

Role of an Occupational Therapist

As the Occupational Therapist, you will deliver specialized therapy to children and young individuals aged 11 to 19. Your collaboration with school staff will uphold the core values of ambition, respect, courage, happiness, and fostering fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include fostering diverse, effective, and innovative methods to support sensory, independence, and regulation skills development for those with complex needs.

Required Skills for an Occupational Therapist

Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
Membership with RCOT (Royal College of Occupational Therapists)
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
2-3 years of experience working with children exhibiting complex needs and challenging behaviors
Experience in a multidisciplinary team setting
Familiarity with various assessment, intervention, and outcome approaches
