Primary Care Doncaster Ltd is developing a wide range of services to support general practice across the Borough and is looking at innovative ways to develop its workforce.

We are looking to recruit a Nursing Associate who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role in the Doncaster Primary Care Networks.

Doncaster has five Primary Care Networks; Central, East, North, South and 4Doncaster.

This post will be based working in a General Practice within the East Primary Care Network.


You should have completed a Nursing Associate Degree with an approved provider and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nursing Associate.

Previous experience in a Primary Care setting would be an advantage.

You will undertake various duties including;
Monitoring and support of the management of patients with long-term conditions / chronic diseases, using a holistic patient centred approach

Support patients to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing

Provide support and supervision to training nursing associates, healthcare assistants, apprentices, and those on learning assignments/placements as required

Advise patients on general healthcare, promote self-management where appropriate, including signposting patients to relevant healthcare services

Perform and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse; For example, as set out in the NMC Standards for Nursing Associates

You will be a Registered Nursing Associate, who is motivated, proactive, committed and with excellent communication skills.

You will work independently under the leadership of our Registered Nurses, supporting with all aspects of nursing care and improving on the safety and quality of patient care at every opportunity.
