£25,000 to £26,000 per year

We are excited to be working with a wonderful distribution company based in the central area of Southampton which is looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor to join their small, friendly team.

This is a terrific opportunity for a dedicated, reliable, experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a stable company with a great working environment.

This role will be covering all warehouse and Reach forklift duties and would suit someone that has a strong stable warehouse background with strong supervisory skills.

If you have a strong work ethic, have your own in date Reach forklift licence/experience, are computer literate, and would feel comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers, and postal services over the phone, this could be the perfect role for you

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be:

Supervising a small team of 2 warehouse staff on a daily basis
Manually picking and packing customer orders attention to detail is particularly important
Checking paperwork is correct and matches the product
IT literate able to update order systems and book deliveries
Talk confidently to customers etc over the phone
Operating the Reach forklift to put stock away in the racking area
Ensuring all stock is undamaged and of good quality prior to dispatch
Loading and unloading vehicles and occasional containers using correct manual handling techniques
Stock control/inventory checks

Some of the skills required for the Warehouse Supervisory role include:

Be physically fit and able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 kilos
lifting equipment is available
Be able to operate the Reach forklift in a correct and safe manner (must have your own in date licence with recent experience)
Be happy to be on your feet all day
A minimum of 2 years warehousing and Reach forklift experience is required

The working hours for the Warehouse Supervisor role is Monday to Fridays from 08:30 to 17:00, with an hour for lunch.

No weekends or overtime required.

The salary on offer for this role is between £25,000 to £26,000 depending on experience.

To be offered the higher salary our client requires someone who has a strong warehouse background, is happy to be hands on with all warehouse duties and has good experience using the Reach forklift truck.
