    Role Overview:

    This is a key role involving responsibilities to both the Head of Insurance Programmes and the Chief Legal Officer. The position's primary purpose is to assist and deputise for the Head of Insurance Programmes in ensuring that the organisation has appropriate insurance cover for insurable assets, liabilities and financial risks while adding value through the application of wider business risk understanding.

    What you'll do:

  • Design and effective management of the Insurance Programme including mapping of risk and formalising processes and procedure with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive management of positive risk culture across market, business units and Group Functions
  • Enhance risk reporting practices so that senior management can make informed decisions about risk in support of Bupa delivering its strategic objectives in a controlled and sustainable way
  • Review and renewal of the company's annual global insurance programs and associated local territorial placements
  • Provide critical input to 1st line risk management for operational risk and opportunity to use insurance as effective reduction of risk and business enabler
  • Take responsibility for managing insurance claims across the organisation including collation of claims data, outcomes and communicate results up to Director level
  • What you'll bring:

  • Experience in the delivery and management of global Insurance programmes
  • Hold a clear understanding of Total Cost of Risk concepts and use of supporting analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills supported by proficiency in Excel with the ability to produce high quality reports
  • Demonstrate high level interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to maintain a variety or relationships wit multiple stakeholders up to a senior level
  • Ability to constructively challenge and question, coupled with a logical thought process to critically assess and resolve complex business issues
  • Possess a strong background in contract risk management and ability to conceptualise risk
  • Hold a strong understanding of policy wording construction and ability to challenge content
  • CII or IRM qualified
