Functional Skills Tutor - Home based - Permanent - £28,000

This role will be home-based for Apprenticeship delivery. There is a mandatory requirement to attend the centre once per month (minimum), for team meeting (travel paid for).

Are you an experienced Functional Skills Tutor? Do you have experience of teaching Maths and English up to level 2? Are you looking to help the minds of tomorrow?
A role has become available with a growing Provider of Apprenticeship and Skills Training. They are currently expanding their team and are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor.

Previous experience and attainment of a Teaching qualification such as PTLLS is desirable (all equivalent qualifications also considered).

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • The delivery of Maths and English Functional Skills up to Level
  • To ensure tracking of learner progress, keeping accurate records of agreed actions
  • Ensure regular contact is maintained with the wider team
  • Help towards developing up to date content for delivery
  • Mark learner assignments
You will be a self-starter and be able to reach well informed and clear decisions. Excellent organisation, communication, and administration skills.

Your current experience will incorporate:

  • Teaching experience
  • Teaching qualification
All employees must undertake a DBS check-renewable every 3 years.
