We have the opportunity for 1 X FTE Car Park Administrator to join our team at the Glenfield hospital, working for the University Hospitals of Leicester.

Working Monday to Friday 8.00am


You will be working in a busy hospital environment, responsible for the administration of staff and public parking permits, management of the database and associated tasks.

Customer Care and hospital experience is advantageous, reporting to the Security and Car Parks Manager.


The role includes providing direction of areas to and from car parking areas serving over 8000 staff, patients and visitor parking issues.

Providing a high level of customer service, the role will also involve supporting the car parking team across the 3 UHL sites (Cross site working where appropriate)


The Car Parking Service will endeavour to provide parking services for all site users whilst maximising the use of the available parking space, this will include all associated administration.

The service will provide traffic management at to ensure the free flow of traffic to the onsite facilities.


The post holder will need to ensure that all Health and Safety / Security Risks to staff, patient, and visitors are reported to the Car Park Supervisor and/or acted upon.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust )

The Car Park Administrator will be allocated to a designated UHL
hospital site although a flexible approach to working on other sites
when necessary is essential. The post holder will spend the majority
of their working day as an administrator, supporting UHL staff,
patients and visitors with regards to parking and travel. The post
holder will support the Car Park Supervisor.
The post holder must follow UHL policies and procedures relating to
car parking and seek advice from supervisor / manager if required.
Workload will be determined by service level specifications and
Standard Operating Procedures.
The Car Parking Service will endeavour to provide parking

Internal relationships with car park managers,
administration staff and attendants
Internal relationships with security officers and
administrative staff

Internal relationships with staff using the hospital facilities
including departmental managers and ward based staff
Link with patients and visitors using the hospital facilities
including contractors and outside organisations
Link with external car park providers
Link with equipment suppliers
Link with police and other emergency services
Link with council
