    The Athelstan Nursery is a charity run nursery set in the Clive Vale area of Hastings offering care and education to children aged between 2 - 5 year-olds. We recently received a GOOD rating from Ofsted who said "children come into the nursery happily and confidently. They are safe and secure in this warm and welcoming setting".

    We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced early years practitioner for a years to join our warm and friendly nursery team. As a member of our staff team you will be required to deliver high quality care and education to support children in developing the skills they require to thrive whilst celebrating children's individuality. Building and maintaining secure and professional relationships with our families is key to this post.

    We ask that you hold a relevant level 3 early years qualification (working towards may be considered).

    You must be familiar with implementing the EYFS along with all statutory legislation including Safeguarding.

    This post is starting in September 2024 for 25hrs per week, term time only Mon to Fri, the hourly rate of pay is £11.50 per hour with 6 weeks annual paid leave. Hours and start date may be flexible for the right candidate.

    We offer continued professional development and on-going training opportunities. Visits to our nursery are encouraged if you are interested in this post and all those selected for interview will be required to spend time with the children and staff prior to interview.

    Your starting salary will be pro rata.
