    Description

    My client is a company specialized in Defense Solutions looking for a DevOps Engineer for a long-term position in Surrey. The role offers a hybrid work model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely. SC Clearance is a must-have for this position. The salary ranges from £52K to £62K along with a Bonus and Full Benefits package.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Azure and AWS services.
    • Enforcing security best practices and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
    • Collaborating with development teams to integrate security measures into the DevOps process (DevSecOps).
    • Creating automation scripts and tools with languages like Java, Python to enhance deployment processes.
    • Overseeing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), and implementing data streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka) for effective data management.
    • Utilizing big data technologies such as Hadoop for the management and analysis of extensive datasets.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or have equivalent experience).
    • Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies, especially Azure and AWS.
    • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python.
    • Knowledge of architectural styles and practical experience in DevSecOps implementation.
    • Outstanding analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
