We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Employment Advisor (SEA) to join Northpoint as part of our employment team within Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service.

This role will involve working across Leeds alongside another Senior Employment Advisor to manage a team of Employment Advisors (EAs) to support service users accessing talking therapies to gain, return to, or retain employment alongside therapy.

What you will be doing as a Senior Employment Advisor:

The postholder will work alongside another SEA, who will both report to the project lead and support promotion and service development.

The SEA will supervise and support up to five EAs in their work by undertaking team meetings and regular supervision.

The service in Leeds is delivered as part of Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service, by a partnership of four organisations. SEAs will be expected to work collaboratively with partners within a matrix management framework.


What are we looking for in our ideal Senior Employment Advisor:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of leading or managing a team and providing supervision
  • Experience of working with people who have experienced mental health difficulties to achieve their goals
  • Experience of managing a caseload or team and working to KPIs
