Warehouse Operative
Asahi UK are recruiting for a
Warehouse Operative to join our brilliant team at
Cornish Orchards.


The Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of orders to our growing customer base across a range of Warehouse functions.

You will join the Warehouse team and will be expected to work alongside the other Warehouse Operatives under the day-to-day Supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

You will be expected to meet strict time deadlines and ensure that Warehouse's standards are maintained at the highest level.


The role includes an element of processing stock transactions using our SAP stock management system from Order, connection-to-shipment, Picking, and Post Good Issue.


Key Accountabilities
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:

  • Work in a team to achieve efficient intake and despatch of all goods on site
  • Confident with IT systems
  • Ensure accuracy of stock in all warehouse areas
  • Deliver good service to internal and external customers
  • Maintain a clean tidy and safe work environment
  • Maintain good communication with other employees on site
  • Working in accordance with all HSE policies & procedures
  • Adherence to manual handling procedures
  • Actively promoting and engaging with new ways of working and Warehouse processes
  • Maintenance of company property, such as the company vehicles, forklift trucks and PPE
  • Ensure accountability for stock losses within the busy Warehouse environment
  • Ensure the operational environment is maintained in relation to hygiene and cleanliness

Experience Required

  • PC skills comfortable with SAP operating programs alongside Microsoft Office products. Training will be provided
  • Appreciation for nature of the work, with some manual handling
  • Counterbalance Forklift truck use and powered pallet truck is a key part of daytoday work and training will be provided
  • Handson and proactive with a positive "can do attitude"
  • Selfmotivated with a flexible approach to workload
  • Disciplined approach to work including the ability to work under pressure
  • Keen eye for Health & Safety, reporting all relevant incidents and potential issues that occur.
  • Keen to promote new ways of working and actively support innovation within the Warehouse
  • Confidently meets deadlines and seeks to go above and beyond with their positive attitude
  • Good level of verbal and written English
  • Ideally previous Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience
