ABOUT THE ROLE
The UCL Centre for Holocaust Education is a world class, research-informed centre of educational excellence. It supports teachers through high quality professional development to ensure that every school student develops meaningful knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust and is able to reflect on its contemporary significance. The Centre is looking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) in Holocaust Education.
The postholder will contribute to the delivery of the Centre's national programme of research-informed professional development for teachers. You will support the ongoing reconfiguration of its existing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme, and actively contribute to the development of new educational initiatives. In addition, you will actively contribute to the interface between research and education ensuring Centre programmes have evidence-based impact.

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching or equivalent educational qualification and have a good historical knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust. You will have extensive knowledge and understanding of Holocaust education and have experience of teaching in secondary education settings. In addition, you will have broad understanding of the current educational landscape in England and awareness of contemporary issues and contexts in school settings, and have experience of developing CPD for teachers, including associated resources where necessary and appropriate.
