The salary for this position is £46,634 - £52,625 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. This is your opportunity to lead a brand-new purpose-built Children's Residential Home in Surrey as a
Registered Manager where you will help shape the development of a team which will turn our building into a
_Home._
Our Epsom home has 4 beds, is fully detached and has free on-site parking for staff.

It will provide care and support for young people with emotional and behavioural challenges, as opposed to young people with additional needs or disabilities.

About the Role


As our Epsom Registered Manager you will be responsible for safely managing and improving service provision at the home ensuring that the right conditions are in place for a welcoming and Ofsted compliant environment for our young people and staff.

Yourhome will be a place where care can be relied upon and where quality practice is underpinned by our
working principleswhich include:


  • Would this be good enough for my child?
  • What kind of adult do we want the young person to be?
  • Are we managing risk for the child and the organisation?
  • Is there a shared approach to parenting?

About You


We are looking for a supportive, patient and collaborative leader who has proven professional knowledge and practical experience of Social Care and Health and Education guidance and legislation, within a residential setting.

You will be an advocate for yourhome and the best interests of the children, young people and staff within it.


You will recognise and understand the strength of multidisciplinary team working and will have the ability to build purposeful relationships with both staff and residents to ensure we understand their needs and can manage them sympathetically and safely.


Some of the key skills, experience, and attributes we are looking for in our Registered Manager include:

  • Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills
  • A Supportive, approachable, and openminded attitude
  • Ability to engage effectively and consult with a range of partners and agencies to improve outcomes for children and young people
  • Confidence and patience
  • Well established knowledge of Children's homes regulations including quality standards and having contributed to Ofsted inspections
  • Experience of managing a residential team or working as a Registered Manager within a childrens residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for residential childcare
