- With thesupport of senior legalcounsel provide legal advice and support ona wide range ofmatters including contracts compliance intellectualpropertyemployment law and corporategovernance
- Assist seniorlegal counsel inproviding legal support across the above areasensuring they are fitfor the future growth of thecompany.
- Draft and negotiatecontracts withbusiness partners suppliers andcustomers
- Ensure companywide compliance withapplicable laws regulations and industrystandards across areas ofyourexpertise
- Provide generaland commercial legalsupport to projects and businesses within thegroup. This mayinclude advice on tender proposals contract draftingnegotiationand review and specific legalneeds.
- Work with projectsand senior legalcounsel to resolve adhoc legal issues supportingthe GroupsMerger and Acquisition strategy.
- Identify areas of risk bothcurrentand future and collaborate with seniors and stakeholdersacross thebusiness to develop mitigationstrategies
- Assist withcompanysecretarialmatters
- Worktowards becoming an expertresource for the entire group on complexregulation in theelectricitysector
- A relevant degree andlegalqualifications
- A keeninterest in the energysector
- Minimum of 2 yearsexperiencepractising law preferably in a corporate legal departmentor firm
- Practical experienceofcompany/commercial law negotiation and commercial contracts.
- A working knowledge ofcontract andcorporate law as well as compliance and regulatorymatters.
- Exceptionalinterpersonal skills
- Youhave a deep conviction towardsintegrity confidentiality discretionand honesty

As Junior Legal Counsel youwillcontribute to the success of the business by supporting ourinhouseLegal Counsel in providing legal services to the projectsand seniormanagement teams.
