    Graduate Teaching Assistant

    Southwark, Mainstream Secondary School


    Start Date:
    September 2023

    Contract Type:
    Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)

    Salary Range:
    £ £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)

    Requirements:
    Previous child-based experience and a DBS on the update service

    Responsibilities:
    As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in the learning journey of our students


    Your responsibilities will include:
    Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
    Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help
    Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
    Helping with classroom management and behaviour support
    Contributing to the school's extracurricular activities and events
    Collaborating with teaching staff to assess and track student progress

    Requirements:
    To be successful in this role, you will need:
    A passion for education and a desire to support student's learning
    Previous child-based experience (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering)
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced school environment
    A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service
    A strong work ethic and commitment to the academic success of students
