Hourly rate of pay : At Lukestone Care Home as a Recreation and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will enjoy being part of an exceptionally supporting team, welcoming you into providing physical, emotional, and social assistance to our residents.
Lukestone is part of Nellsar, a family-owned company with 35 years of exceptional person-centred care experience, comprising of 13 nursing and residential care homes covering Kent, Essex and Surrey.
Being a caring heart, with a passion for making people happy, you will thrive on bringing a smile on our residents' face, whilst supporting their physical and mental wellbeing.
You will have the opportunity to excel whilst:
Creating and reviewing person-centred care planning documentation reflecting the residents' current needs and preferences.
Developing and planning programmes, outings and events, staffing the events and overseeing the implementation of activities.
Ensuring the residents' choice is always maintained and feedback is obtained regularly, informing further Recreation and Wellbeing programmes organised in the home.
Supporting and enabling residents to access social networks and maintain personal interests in accordance with best practice, agreed standards, legislation and within the financial budget.
Supporting and developing the Recreation and Wellbeing Team according to individual needs and following equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
Maintaining skills at a current level and undertaking such training and development as required to maintain and progress knowledge.
Experience of working with people, in particular those that may have additional support needs e.g. people living with dementia.Customer service:
active listener skills, professional telephone etiquette and excellent written communication skills.
Experience of event planning.
