    Description

    Agratas is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer specializing in Consumables & Indirect Goods and Services Purchases. The role will be based in a hybrid setup at our Coventry office to support the construction and industrialization of our cutting-edge multi-billion-pound battery manufacturing facility near Bridgwater in Somerset.

    Bringing your expertise from the automotive, engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors, you will play a crucial role in facilitating one of the UK automotive sector's most significant investments to date. Your main responsibility will revolve around the indirect procurement of Capex/Opex goods and services essential for the gigafactory's operations.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the RFI, RFQ, Cost Comparison, Zero-based costing, Negotiation & awarding process.
    • Cultivate beneficial relationships with internal teams including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and more.
    • Source reliable suppliers for consumables and indirect materials like office supplies, maintenance equipment, and other operational essentials.
    • Assess supplier capabilities, product quality, pricing, and delivery terms to secure optimal value.
    • Negotiate contracts for indirect goods and services across all business sites based on business needs.
    • Procure HR-related services such as recruitment agencies, training providers, and employee benefit vendors.
    • Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

    Required Experience:
    • Proven Indirect Sourcing experience, particularly in OPEX function within automotive/manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in sourcing and vendor management.
    • Comprehensive understanding of contract finalization.
    • Thorough knowledge of legal requirements, legislation, and price trends of essential materials.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage self-activity planning, prioritize tasks, and work effectively without direct supervision.

    Experience in a greenfield or brownfield project setting would be advantageous.
