Description
Your Responsibilities:
- Actively supporting the Corporate Finance team on private placements, IPOs and M&A transactions from start to closing;
- Leading and supervising a team of analysts and graduates to deliver on origination and execution projects;
- Responsible for the training and development of analysts and graduates;
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative market, company and competition analysis;
- Performing financial analysis and building financial models (including comparable company analysis and discounted cash flow models);
- Preparing presentation materials, including pitch books, information memorandums and investor/analyst presentations;
- Opportunity to attend client meetings and pitches alongside senior members of the Corporate Finance team;
- Learning from and interacting with Berenberg's teams across all departments including Research and Sales.
Your Profile:
- Senior associate level experience within a reputable financial institution e.g Investment bank, corporate finance boutique or within a Big 4 accounting firm, specifically within the M&A or Valuations teams;
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to think "outside the box";
- Polished communication skills allowing you to interact with peers, senior bankers and clients in an articulate and appropriate manner;
- Ability to constantly adapt in a fastpaced, demanding environment in order to consistently deliver high quality work despite the significant workload;
- A team player who works well with other coworkers, is able to actively contribute and does not hesitate to share responsibility for the overall team's success;
- European language skills an asset but not essential.
