Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nurse led integrated community respiratory team delivering care to the adult population of South East Essex.
The team have two sites, Rochford Hospital and Thundersley clinic and are looking for a physiotherapist with respiratory experience to support in delivering respiratory care to patients in a clinic setting or their own home.
As an integrated service the team provide assessment and review of patients with a confirmed respiratory diagnosis including COPD, ILD and bronchiectasis, diagnostic spirometry, oxygen as the local HOSAR and respiratory physiotherapy.
The successful applicant will ideally have community experience which would be an advantage alongside respiratory experience, home exercise programme, oxygen assessment and will also participate in the delivery of the respiratory virtual ward.
Demonstration of a good understanding in long term conditions, multi morbidities and the delivery of high level of respiratory care is essential alongside excellent communication and listening skills.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team and have an understanding of primary care, secondary care, MDT working and ICB's.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings.
Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
This will require holistic assessment to meet health and social care needs and will include assisting with respiratory virtual ward, performing basic observations, venepuncture, capillary blood gases and undertaking spirometry.
