The Maternity Services at the University Hospital of Wales have a vacancy for an infant feeding specialist midwife.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board provides a maternity service that is delivered in a variety of locations across the region.
Women who are pregnant have the option of accessing care in a variety of settings including the home, hospital or alongside midwife led unit.
The infant feeding specialist midwife is a member of the maternity team who aim to provide a maternity service that is planned in partnership with the woman and her family.
The services range from the giving of pre pregnancy advice, care throughout pregnancy, labour and delivery and the post-natal period.
The role will involve supporting new mothers and staff with feeding concerns.
Teaching BFI standards of breast feeding to all new staff members that join the UHB.
Support community clinics, ensuing they are accessible to all who require additional assistance.
