    Fencing+ - Summer Camp - Streatham, London

    Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00

    Salary: £405.69 – £530.76 per week determined by age, experience, and qualifications (2023 wage level for February Half Term Contracts, 2024 wage level from 1st April)

    Supervision: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office prioritise the welfare of children and youths

    FENCING+ RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare and maintain activity areas to ensure child-friendly environments
    • Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure children's safety and enjoyment
    • Conduct engaging sessions aligned with Barracudas Fencing training
    • Offer a variety of fun and safe age-appropriate sessions using the Teambuilding manual
    • Provide safety instructions, oversee equipment usage, and ensure compliance
    • Supervise and cater to children's needs throughout the day
    • Maximize children's participation in activities
    • Cooperate with fellow staff members during sessions
    • Accurately handle paperwork related to Fencing activities
    • Maintain and inspect Fencing equipment regularly
    • Ensure general welfare and safe equipment usage
    • Maintain site cleanliness and equipment storage

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Complete the FREE 1-day Fencing+ course affiliated with British Fencing before employment
    • Minimum age requirement: 18
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • Positive, organized, and communicative with initiative
    • Enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or on the Update Service
    • Participate in Virtual Assessment Event for new Barracudas members
    • Annual completion of online training
    • Attend Induction Training Day prior to the first working season
    • Assist with end-of-camp activities

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES

    • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
    • Organize appropriate activities based on qualifications and skills
    • Encourage children to engage in activities as per schedule
    • Supervise children's behavior and follow camp systems
    • Act as a positive role model promoting healthy habits
    • Report any Child Protection concerns promptly
    • Accommodate children with special needs or medical conditions
    • May be assigned Skills Builder and swimming sessions
    • Be adaptable and fulfill various tasks as required
