Team Lead - Java (VP)

Up to £130,000 base salary plus bonuses and benefits

We are working with a leading investment firm who are looking for a Senior Developer / Team Lead to join the team in their London office.

You will be leading a team working on their inhouse Risk and PnL Platform within their Front Office.

It is a multi-asset platform focusing on building a mix of real time and end of day PnL reports and real time risk reports on trades.


Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience with Java working on highly distributed systems
  • Deep understand of Microservice architecture
  • Spring Boot / AWS (S3) / Kafka / Docker / Kubernetes / MongoDB / PostgresSQL
  • Clear and concise communication (working with traders)
  • Passion for Best Practice and driving robust architecture
  • Experience leading teams and projects from design through to production

Desired Experience

  • Working within a front office environment directly with traders
  • Exposure to working across Risk and/or PnL platforms.
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience in project management / managing stakeholders / breaking down projects / project estimation
