- To carry out the required surface preparation and apply / spray coatings to achieve the surface finishes that meet the repair and material specification requirements
- Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufactures and customer specification and industry regulations.
- Complete all documents related to the work being performed
- Prepare surfaces by ensuring part cleanliness by degreasing, and blasting.
- Apply masking protection on all noncoated surfaces for the plasma spray process
- Ensure all equipment is safe and satisfactory to use, rectifying any unsafe conditions within the jobholder's capability.
- Preparation of test samples which include tensile, hardness and met metallurgical.
- Competent computer user.
- Able to use breathing apparatus
- Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business
- Manuals
- Experience from an equivalent role in a similar industry;
- Ability to read and use precision measuring equipment;
- Ability to read technical engineering drawings, both modern and older standards;
- Familiarity with imperial measurement.
- Recognised indentured apprenticeship or military equivalent;
- Human Factors.
- Suitable engineering qualification
- Experience on CNC/robotics systems
- Previous experience within an aerospace MRO environment
