    Description

    The post holder will be a senior member of staff working in the City and Hackney Home Treatment and Crisis Team.

    The role will also encompass research, evidence of service development, audit and supervision of junior staff.

    Your role will involve you undertaking face to face comprehensive assessments, including risk assessment, effectively and efficiently.


    The post involves shift work combination of early shifts, late shifts and long days - the applicant is applying is required to have flexibility to work across three different shift patterns.

    You will have the opportunity to work alongside and within the Mental Health Liaison Team and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in working towards developing a cohesive crisis service pathway and supporting staffs professional development, experience, skills and knowledge.

    You will also be supported to develop skills through training provided by the trust to build assessment and formulation skills, risk management of psychotic, depressive, self-harm and suicidal presentation.

    In house training and development understanding Perinatal mental health, Children and Adolescence and working with individuals with Autism and ADHD.

    Education/ Qualification/ Training
    Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Social Worker or Registered Occupational Therapist
    Recognized post registration training
    Evidence of continual professional development
    CBT and/or brief intervention /solution focused therapy and /or motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake

    Substantial post qualification experience in the field of mental health crisis
    Experience of working in a multidisciplinary mental health team
    Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and of ensuring that nursing practice is culturally sensitive
    Extensive and demonstrable experience of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programs of care
    Essential and demonstrable experience of writing concise and clear clinical reports

    Demonstrate skills in providing effective nursing leadership
