    Commissioning Engineer - Inspection Equipment

    About the Job: We are looking for a hands-on Commissioning Engineer to join our team at UK Inspection Systems Ltd. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for testing and setting up process inspection machinery at our production facility in Rushden and at customer sites across the UK.

    The Company: UK Inspection Systems Ltd is a Company that has been providing goods and services to the UK food industry for over fourteen years. We manufacture our own machinery range while also offering support for equipment from other manufacturers.

    The Role: As a Commissioning Engineer, you will conduct pre-delivery testing, installation, maintenance, and repairs of inspection machinery. This role offers opportunities for career development and working on diverse projects.

    Key Duties:

    • Factory Acceptance Testing and pre-delivery set-up
    • On-site installation and commissioning
    • PPM maintenance tasks on production line equipment
    • Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic fault finding and repairs
    • Calibration and Validation testing
    • Projects of machine refurbishments and upgrades
    • Complete necessary paperwork accurately
    • Cooperate with the production team
    • Support continuous improvement
    • Adhere to quality standards
    • Learn and improve product knowledge

    Required Skills:

    • Experience in a Production Factory or Field Service Role
    • Electro-mechanical and electronic knowledge
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Full UK driving licence
    • IT literate (Windows, Excel & Word)
    • Good communication and organizational skills
    • Hands-on practical ability
    • Experience with process equipment

    Desirable Skills:

    • PLC programming and PC hardware knowledge
    • Experience with product inspection and conveyor systems
    • Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry

    Work Details:

    • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    • Salary: £28,000.00-£33,000 per year DOE + Overtime & bonus
    • Benefits: Company pension, On-site parking, Performance bonus, Profit sharing
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, Overtime when required
    • Education: Degree in Engineering (preferred)
    • Experience: Electrical and Mechanical engineering (required), Customer service and Commissioning/Installation experience (preferred)
    • Licence/Certification: Manual Driving Licence (required), Electrical/Electronic Engineering Qualification (required)
    • Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)
    • Travel: Required
    • Work Location: Hybrid, in Rushden/customer sites
