    #Senior Engineer - Rail Midlands

    Murphy are looking for a competent Senior Engineer to join our team in the Midlands area.

    As a Senior Engineer you will work on a portfolio of station improvement schemes (incl. AFA - access for all), earthworks, drainage and structures projects and will be confident in setting-out, managing on-site quality along with excellent problem solving and communication skills.

    The right candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Section Engineers, Site Engineers and Graduate or Apprentice Engineers in their daily duties.

    Preparing Inspection and Test Plan documents for the projects as required by the PMP / Specification,
    The production of survey information, labelled productivity photos and redline drawings for the completion of the as-built records,
    Due to nature of our business and our client requirements, some overtime midweek nights and weekends will be necessary,
    Monitor the work under their control to ensure that any unsafe work conditions and non-compliance with Company policies and procedures are promptly remedied,
    Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for the use in the construction process,
    Managing hire and off hire of surveying equipment on various sites,
    Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works,
    Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes, design variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client / designer / project team,
    Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDi Who we are looking for:

    Highly competent in surveying and setting out techniques and equipment,
    A successful record of achievement within structures, drainage and earthworks projects for main contractor,
    Wide knowledge of surveying equipment, preferably two different brands
    Capable of managing team of site engineers and planning engineering resources for future projects in cooperation with project and construction managers,
    Fully confident working with AutoCAD software producing survey, setting out and as-built drawings,
    Preferable knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation,
    PTS Qualified, CSCS Card (relevant type),
    Willing to work overtime during nights and weekends,
    Full UK driving license
