    Description

    Apply & continue to develop a breadth of engineering skills, in the discipline of Naval Architecture and where applicable, other related disciplines.

    # Define & conduct engineering analyses, technical studies and research & development projects, making use of your knowledge and experience, to deliver high quality solutions to our customers and clients.
    # Deliver technical oversight & governance across a wide range of maritime engineering projects, ensuring compliance with defined standards, codes & business practices.
    # Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of engineering, design, and production information.
    # Interface directly with our customers and clients, representing our teams to discuss engineering solutions to complex problems.

    Naval Architecture, Ship Science, Marine Technology, Marine Engineering), or equivalent experience in the naval and commercial ship design, construction, or maintenance domain.
    # Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (RINA, IMarEST, IMechE). Recognised as a Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council (or an ability to achieve within 6 months).

    A proven track record of delivering reliability, productivity & quality in a technical consultancy environment.
    # A passion to grow & support others through strong technical leadership, helping to identify new opportunities for technical & behavioural development and progression.

    The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience (12 years for non-degree qualified) working in either the commercial or naval maritime domain.

    Hydrostatic, seakeeping & stability analysis.
    Hydrodynamic & manoeuvring analysis.
    Marine structure design & analysis.

    Ship design; Experience of using Naval Architecture design & analysis software packages (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MaxSurf, NAPA, Aveva, Paramarine, Orcaflex, Ansys Structural/Fluent, MatLab, MS Excel).

    # Experience of whole ship design including assessment of performance, design integration, construction, through-life maintenance, and disposal.
    # Experience in a technical consulting environment, leading and/or supporting multiple engineering projects & customers.
